Operations Management

This course aims to provide you with a framework for understanding how to gain competitive advantage through operations, either by direct design and management of operations or by managing interfaces between operations and other business functions. The course will view operations as a transformation process to deliver goods and services, and familiarize you with their key attributes (e.g., cost, quality, speed, and flexibility) and challenges (e.g., inventory, variability). You will acquire tools and insights to effectively diagnose, improve and manage the operations of both service and manufacturing companies.
