Erasmus+ internship
An internship is an excellent opportunity to put the knowledge gained during your studies to the test in a work environment. An internship abroad adds an additional challenge, as the student is on their own not only in a new working environment but also in a different country.
Support is provided by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union (for EU countries and the programme of associated countries) and also by the Ad futura programme at the Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia (also suitable for countries outside the Erasmus+ programme, e.g. Switzerland, the United Kingdom).
The process begins when the student finds an employer abroad. The content of the Internship must be at an appropriate level of complexity and related to the content taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business (you are not limited to the chosen field of study). The faculty coordinator is responsible for this by signing the "Learning Agreement for Traineeship". The process then continues at the University of Ljubljana, Office for International Cooperation. We suggest you take a detailed look at their website first.
The coordinator at the School of Economics and Business will inform you about scholarship programmes that are designed to cover your living expenses and travel abroad. Coordinator will help you to find employers by directing you to various portals for finding internships abroad. They will guide you through the process and takes care of the appropriate documentation. Students who are interested in obtaining a scholarship for the purpose of doing an internship abroad can read more and find all the necessary documentation on Student-net in the section Become International/Additional Opportunities.
