Tanja Istenič holds a PhD in Economics from the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana. For her PhD studies she received Award for the best student achievements of the University of Ljubljana. She teaches Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Introductory Statistics and Managerial economics. Her research focuses on labor market analysis, the impact of the changing population structure on the financial sustainability of the public sector, the analysis of intergenerational economic dependency and intergenerational transfers, and gender (in)equality. She actively participates in academic conferences and publishes her work in national and international publications. She has received several international awards for her research work.
