Confucius Institute Ljubljana

The Confucius Institute is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of promoting and teaching Chinese language and culture. It operates under the supervision of Chinese International Education Fundation.

More than 400 Confucius Institutes and 1000 Confucius Classrooms have been established in 154 countries. The main purpose of CI Ljubljana is to promote Chinese language and culture among students, the community and companies, encourage business opportunities in China and act as a bridge between the Slovenian and Chinese business environments. CI Ljubljana is one of the few business-oriented Confucius Institutes in the world.

CI Ljubljana’s main activities are the language courses. Academic partner of the Institute is Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE), where the teaching personnel comes from. At the same time, Chinese language is being taught by graduates of Sinology from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.
