Event with Prof. Dr. Claudia Buch
Dear students,
On Tuesday, 8th October 2024 at 16:00, our school will host Prof. Dr. Claudia Buch, the Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), which is the most important constituent part of the banking union, responsible for supervision of banks in the euro zone.
After Prof. Dr. Claudia Buch's introductory presentation on the work of the Supervisory Board and the functioning of the Single Supervisory Mechanism, there will be time for an open discussion and exchange of views with the students.
The event will take place in the LD (Lila dvorana) at 16:00 and you are kindly invited and encouraged to attend! To help us plan the event, please indicate your attendance by filling out the form.

Prof. Dr. Claudia Buch’s visit is part of her two-day visit to Ljubljana, hosted by the Bank of Slovenia. During her visit, she will meet with banking supervisors and visit the Slovenian Banking Association and members of the boards of banks and savings banks.
Prof. Buch took office as President of the Supervisory Board on January 1, 2024, having served as Vice President of the Bundesbank since 2014. She began her career as a professor of economics at the University of Tübingen and continues to teach at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg. Her research focuses on banking regulation and supervision.
