On Wednesday, 16 October 2024, the atrium of the School of Economics and Business came to life. The traditional ‘EF tržnica’ (eng. SEB market), organised by the Student Organisation and the Student Council of the School of Economics and Business, provided a great start to the new academic year. ‘EF tržnica’ is an event, where student associations based at UL SEB, present themselves and what they do, at stands around the atrium.

This year for the also EF ULTRAS, fans of UL SEB sports clubs, and EF news, the journalistic team of the UL SEB.
Many students, especially those who want to spice up their study life with extra-curricular activities and develop their career before it starts, visited the event. “I want to learn about as many career opportunities as possible, explore other fields besides my field of study, and meet new people,” said a student, when asked why she attended the event.
Moreover, the ‘Tour-de-EF’ prize draw encouraged students to visit all the stands and be in with a chance of winning top prizes. No one left the event hungry, great burgers and delicious pancakes were served. Zala, a second-year undergraduate student, was delighted with the market: “I like to learn about things that are still available while studying. You don’t hear so much about it and it’s a good way to learn about it, to see what it’s all about.”
Klara Lebeničnik, a postgraduate student, member of the Student Council of the UL SEB and one of the organisers, was happy with the event and added: “Students should take advantage of all the other events we will have, so they can get to know all the other societies and feel the true spirit of UL SEB.”
