QS Ranking 2025: University of Ljubljana Among the Top 600 Universities, UL SEB Programmes Progress

The results of this year's global university rankings, published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the three most influential global ranking organisations, show that the University of Ljubljana (UL) ranks 596th among over 1,500 universities worldwide.
The highest-ranked academic field at UL this year is Library and Information Management, which occupies positions 51-100. In comparison, the areas covered by UL SEB have outperformed the UL results: Economics and Econometrics are ranked 501-550, while Business and Management Studies ranks 451-500. Both fields have also improved in terms of academic reputation compared to the previous year. Additionally, Economics and Econometrics achieved a higher score in the H-index citations, while Business and Management Studies improved its employer reputation scores.
Of particular note is our Master in International Business programme, which ranks 33rd in the QS International Trade Rankings MBA / Masters, improving by 12 places compared to last year.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a leading global provider of information on higher education and career advice, publishes rankings on universities and their academic programmes every year. The rankings place the greatest emphasis on the international reputation of universities.
