Business Communication in German (UD)

Goals

Students are trained to act competently in German- speaking environment, in order to create successful partnership and solve business problems with the German-speaking business partners. On the basis of theoretical knowledge of skills, gained in the major subject of “Business communication”, students upgrade the standard German vocabulary by acquiring communication patterns and text types, which are essential in the field of practical business communication.

Syllabus

1. Speaking on the telephone and arranging appointments, business correspondence
2. Concepts and characteristics of presentations in German
3. Business meetings and negotiations
4. Career planning
5. Intercultural specifics, sustainable development and environmental awareness.

Acquisition of standard structures and communication patterns.- In every chapter special emphasis is put on inter-cultural differences and special features of the German-speaking environment.
