Together for a green future
At the SEB, we strive to broaden our horizons in an ever-changing environment and develop the competence and integrity for socially responsible management of business and economic challenges in the spirit of sustainable development. We recognise that we cannot succeed alone in our quest for a more responsible and sustainable society but can only succeed in a strongly connected community. That is why we are coming together to create the conditions in which our joint efforts can have a greater impact on building a green future.
The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) encourage business schools to act and educate responsibly. Based on six principles—purpose, values, methods, research, cooperation, mutual dialogue—the PRME movement encourages business schools to integrate the concepts of sustainable development and social responsibility into educational and research activities. The main objective of the movement is to develop a new generation of business leaders who will meet the complex challenges facing businesses and society in the 21st century.
As part of PRME, business schools and universities around the world strive to gradually adapt their programmes, research activities, teaching methods, and institutional strategies to new business challenges and opportunities.
PRME reports
The SEB progress reports show the faculty's achievements in implementing PRME. These principles are reflected in the mission, vision, and values of the faculty, and are incorporated into the course curricula.

In December 2021, we became signatories to the Glasgow Declaration: Climate Action in Tourism. By signing, we committed ourselves to actively contribute to the fight against climate change and to promote the sustainable development of tourism and the reduction of emissions by 2050.
Since 2002, UL SEB tourism programmes have been accredited by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) with a UNWTO TedQual certification and have integrated the SDGs into curricula, research, and consultancy activities. The faculty plans to expand these activities and organise seminars on disseminating the Declaration's commitments to students, the public, and tourism planners.
In 2022, UL SEB submitted its Climate Action Plan for the first time since signing the Glasgow Declaration, thus taking action in the field of sustainable development.
