Transfer to UL SEB
Transfer means that students want to continue their studies here after they have fulfilled certain academic requirements at another institution. They apply for recognition of courses or obligations already completed in order to continue their studies at our university from the second or third year.
When and where can I apply?
The application period is open from 1 to 15 September 2025. Candidates are requested to submit supporting documents together with the enrolment application for study on the eVŠ portal.
What to submit?
Candidates are requested to attach the following documents to the application for enrolment on the eVŠ portal:
- Copy of the transcript of records of your Bachelor's degree programme;
- Copy of the Syllabuses of the courses you have already completed on your Bachelor's degree programme;
- Copy of your high school diploma;
- Copy of the English or Slovenian official translation of the above documents (not required if the documents are already issued in English);
- A short chronological description of your entire education (sample attached);
- Copy of your passport (EU candidates can submit their identity card instead).
We will send a request for verification of the electronic versions of the documents to the issuing institution.
Conditions
Based on the submitted documents, the Student Affairs Committee will decide on the recognition of the courses*, any eventual bridge exams or any other eventual enrolment obligations as well as the year of study in which the candidate may enrol.
A student transferring from another higher education institution with a related programme can receive up to a maximum of 90 ECTS for completed compulsory and elective subjects at the first cycle programme. Enrolment is possible into the 2nd year of study. The minimum requirement for enrolment in the 2nd year is 45 ECTS.
Before enrolment, each candidate must also complete the recognition procedure, which is part of the enrolment procedure.
*When deciding on recognition, the compatibility between the study content of the study programme where the student passed the exam and the study programme of the UL SEB is considered, as well as the level of complexity of the study programme at which the student had previously studied. The exam will be fully recognised if at least 75% of the content, complexity, and number of hours or number of credit points of the subject passed at another institution corresponds to the subject at UL SEB.
