Modes of study

Full-time study programmes are held at UL SEB in accordance with the academic calendar.

The academic year begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. It is divided into the winter semester (October to January) and the summer semester (February to June). Lectures take place from October 1 to mid-January. The four-week period after the end of the lecture period is the winter examination period. Lectures in the summer semester begin in mid-February and end at the beginning of June. The summer examination period follows the end of the lecture period of the summer semester. Students may also take exams in the autumn examination period, which lasts from the end of August to mid-September.

Part-time study programmes are conducted according to a specific schedule designed to conduct courses sequentially (or two courses in parallel). Students are assessed at the end of each course and then continue with the next course. Courses are held in the afternoons and occasionally on Saturdays.

Students can change their mode of study once during their graduate study at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business.
