
Banking Management (IMB)
Goals
The purpose of the course is to develop an understanding of some key issues in bank management and financial sector regulation. To accomplish this objective, the course starts out with a background discussion on the structure of banks and their regulatory environment. The global financial crisis has put into the spotlight much on the latter. Following this, the course focuses on key management issues in banking. In particular, we focus on bank lending and credit risk management,
interest rate risk management, the role of bank capital and strategic management issues.
