Last weekend, from March 28 to 30, 2025, Associate Professors Dr. Blaž Zupan and Dr. Mojca Svetek organized the now traditional Startup Weekend at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business. Over the course of three days, 157 students from ten different faculties of the University of Ljubljana took on 40 challenges.

The results of this year's global university rankings, published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the three most influential global ranking organisations, show that the University of Ljubljana (UL) ranks 596th among over 1,500 universities worldwide.

On March 19, 2025, Željko Perović, Director of Intervela, presented his entrepreneurial experiences as part of the “Entrepreneurial Skills for Growth” project, focused on “Problem-Based Learning of Students in the Workplace,” involving students and Prof. Dr. Boštjan Antončič.

From 3 February 2025, the free access to The Economist online for students and staff at the SEB becomes even simpler – now available via the Single Sign-On system.

UL SEB is proud to announce its participation in the AGENTS project, a three-year Erasmus+ project dedicated to promoting slow tourism as a sustainable alternative to mass tourism. The project is co-funded by the European Union and is led by Laurea University of Applied Sciences from Finland. Other esteemed partners include CETT Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy, Tallinn University of Technology, Kiel University of Applied Sciences, and Klaipėda University.

As part of the Operation Management course, the students had the opportunity to learn from Rok Stritatr, an entrepreneur, advisor, and mentor to numerous companies in various stages of development, and the founder of Kibuba.

We had the incredible opportunity to participate in a project workshop with Kearney, where we stepped into the role of consultants—analyzing complex challenges, problem-solving, and delivering actionable insights.

As part of our Supply Chain Management course, we had the privilege of learning from Raul Intriago Lombeida, Head of External Supply Operations – Large Molecules.
